Festival Must-Haves: What To Pack

With festival season about to get underway, now’s the time to think about what you’ll need to take with you so you can have a great time, no matter what happens. It’d be nice to think that the weather will hold, but chances are it’ll rain so pack for all eventualities if you can. Here’s a list of what to take.

Clothing

Take a jumper even if you’re going mid-summer as the temperature will drop once the sun’s gone down. Always take a rain mac, poncho or similar as well since the great British weather can’t really be relied upon. Wellies are also a must, since you don’t want to get trench foot!

Toiletries

Sun cream should be on the list just in case, as should lots of toilet roll, toothpaste, face wash and deodorant. No one likes a smelly festival-goer, after all. Dry shampoo is also a good shout if you don’t think you’ll be using the showers on site but you don’t want your hair to go greasy.

Fun stuff

Don’t forget the entertainment! Festivals like Bestival often run fancy dress competitions, or run a theme for you to tie your costumes in with. What about investing in a fun fox tail costume to party in?

Miscellaneous

You’ll also need to remember to pack some ID, any medication you might need, a torch so you can find your tent after dark, a bag to put your dirty clothes and rubbish in after the festival is done, a roll mat so you can sleep in comfort and a reusable water bottle. Camp sites will have free taps available so you can save yourself some cash.
