Don Your Dinosaur Tail And Visit Jurassic Kingdom This Summer

If you’re looking for summer holiday ideas to keep dinosaur-mad kids busy over the coming weeks, you won’t want to miss the new animatronic experience taking the country by storm: Jurassic Kingdom.

The touring dinosaur experience is a travelling installation of more than 30 animated dinosaurs with moving parts and sound effects. Visitors can admire the life-like dinosaurs on a 60-minute walking tour and learn more about dinosaurs with the activities on offer in what promises to be a fun-filled family day out.

Stationed in Clayton’s Philips Park in Manchester until July 23rd, the dinosaurs have been making their way around the country since April 1st, when the tour began in London.

The next stop is Blackpool, where the dinosaurs will be on show between August 3rd and 13th, before moving on to Glasgow. The tour will visit Newcastle in the last week of September and journey on to Leeds in October.

As well as the walking tour, visitors to the dinosaur event will be able to take part in a range of fun and educational activities.

Little ones will love getting hands-on at a t-rex excavation scene, where they’ll have the chance to unearth a full fossil. There’s also an education marquee, where dinosaur documentaries are shown on a large projection screen.

If that wasn’t enough, there are opportunities to experience the world of dinosaurs in virtual reality with a choice of digital games played in simulator chairs. Visitors can choose from a variety of experiences, including a dinosaur roller-coaster.

Don’t forget to arrive suitably attired with your dinosaur tails!
