With news just in that the Jurassic Kingdom experience will be touring the UK this year, with stops at London, Birmingham, Manchester, Blackpool, Glasgow, Newcastle and Leeds between now and October, we thought we’d take a look to see what other events are taking place that would be perfect for you and yours to wear your dinosaur tails to. Here are some of our very favourites!
This world exclusive exhibition has come to Europe for the first time, with Wollaton Hall in Nottingham playing host to the main exhibition between July 1st and October 29th. You’ll be able to exclaim over fossils and specimens that have never been seen outside Asia, with special features including detailed replicas, 3D mounted skeletons, original fossils and a whole lot more.
This 70-minute dino experience combines actors, storytelling, animatronics and digital graphics to help create a truly believable prehistoric world that’s perfect for anyone looking to learn more about dinosaurs. You’ll even be able to see a dinosaur being dissected in the Autopsy Lab to find out more about the internal workings of a Pachycephalosaurus! You can book tickets for the experience in Birmingham between June 24th and August 24th, and Manchester between October 7th and January 7th.
OK, so not strictly taking place this year but certainly a date for the diary – Dippy the Diplodocus, usually found within the Natural History Museum in London, will be touring the UK from early next year, with stops including Dorset, Birmingham, Ulster, Rochdale, Glasgow, Wales and more. Keep an eye out for him as your kids will absolutely love him!
