As an adult, there aren’t really very many opportunities to wear fun wolf tail costumes and other fancy dress unless it’s Halloween, New Year’s Eve or someone’s birthday. Which is a shame, since dressing up is an awful lot of fun! So why don’t you sign up to some events that allow you to wear your costumes with pride? Here are a few fun runs coming up across the UK that you might like to join in with.
Making running fun is the key to getting people to sign up and raise money for charity, and there’s nothing quite as much fun as a colour run! Run or Dye takes place at Penshurst Place in Kent on July 2nd so if you’re in the area, get your gladrags on and head off for an amazing – and very colourful – time.
OK, so it might be a bit tricky to wear your wolf tail at this event but never say never! And even if you have to leave it at home at the end, you’ll still have all the hilarity of getting dressed up in an inflatable sumo suit. What could be better?
Parkinson’s UK is holding two Spooky Sprint fun runs towards the end of October at Waddesdon Manor (21st) and Wollaton Hall (28th), so if you want to help them raise some much-needed cash why don’t you sign up for a frightfest 5 or 10k?
If you love the idea of combining wine tasting with running 13.1 miles, this race in Dorking in Surrey is the one for you. It takes place at Denbies Wine Estate and you’ll be rewarded with a glass of delicious plonk and a post-race hog roast after it’s all done and dusted.
