Mailchimp

TellTails use MailChimp to manage our newsletter and bulk customer communications. We will store some of your information, including your email address, IP address and certain information about the email links you click within the emails we send you, on a Mailchimp server.

There’s no third-party tracking in messages we send through MailChimp besides their own analytics. Neither we, nor Mailchimp, will ever sell your email address or share it with any other party, unless we are legally compelled to do so.

Shopify

We use Shopify as our website platform. As a result Shopify collect ’buyers’ name, email, shipping and billing address, payment details, company name, phone number, IP address, information about orders you initiate, information about the Shopify-supported merchant stores that you visit, and information about the device and browser you use.

Shopify use this information to provide TellTails with the Services, including supporting and processing orders, risk and fraud screening, authentication, and payments. Shopify also use this information to improve its Services.

If you opt into Shopify Pay, they store and use this information to pre-fill your checkout information. Shopify additionally use this information to help customize and improve your experience when you visit a merchant store by presenting to you goods and service that are more likely to be of interest to you.

Shopify use some of the personal information you provide to conduct some level of automated decision-making -- for example, Shopify use certain personal information (for example, ip addresses or payment information) to automatically block certain potentially fraudulent transactions for a short period of time.

When do Shopify collect this information?

Shopify collect this information when you use or access a store that uses our Services, such as when you visit a merchant’s site, place an order or sign up for an account on a merchant’s site.

Shopify also collect this information when you opt into Shopify Pay, or use Shopify Pay to pre-fill your checkout information.

Additionally, Shopify partner with third parties who provide them information about buyers, for example to help us screen out merchants associated with fraud.

TellTails will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information. We will never provide access to our databases to any third party.

We will retain your personal information only for as long as necessary, whilst retaining legal requirements for maintaining financial records.

Any data no longer required will be deleted or destroyed securely and confidentially.

Cookies

We adopt a Social Media Policy to ensure our business and our staff conduct themselves accordingly online. While we may have official profiles on social media platforms users are advised to verify authenticity of such profiles before engaging with, or sharing information with such profiles. We will never ask for user passwords or personal details on social media platforms. Users are advised to conduct themselves appropriately when engaging with us on social media.

There may be instances where our website features social sharing buttons, which help share web content directly from web pages to the respective social media platforms. You use social sharing buttons at your own discretion and accept that doing so may publish content to your social media profile feed or page. Use of Services by Minors.
